The Nehemiah Program provides gift funds to qualified homebuyers who purchase participating homes using an eligible loan program, such as Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loan. The program may not be available much longer, so if you have considered purchasing, now would be a good time to contact your lender to find out how it works. There are buyers who have been purchasing with assistance in downpayment and closing costs. Of course, one must qualify for the loan. A qualified lender would be able to assist you with the qualifying requirements.

For those that enjoy baseball, Winchester, Virginia has its own baseball team, the Winchester Royals. Yesterday evening, the Royals played Harrisonburg’s Turks in an exciting game. The Winchester Royals had a sweeping victory over the Turks 8-1. Go Winchester Royals!
