Fantastic news for first time homebuyers in Virginia!!! The first time home buyer tax credit can be used as a down payment on VHDA mortgage! The loan has a built in second mortgage to help cover the down payment and closing costs with zero interest and no payments for the first twelve months. Particulars on the loan can be obtained from a lender.
